More unsettled weather is in the forecast for next week
It has been a pretty mild ang muggy week across much of Northern Ireland, with plenty of rain and fog around.
Heading towards this weekend, the weather forecast shows a similar picture, with the Met Office predicting more rain and fog, with mild temperatures sticking around. However, there will be sunny spells between it all, especially on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Looking ahead to next week, a period of more unsettled weather is forecast, with some strong winds accompanying rainfall.

Here’s what the weather forecast for Northern Ireland looks like this weekend:
Friday, November 7
Some bright or sunny spells across the north but cloudier across the south and east with, especially through the morning, outbreaks of rain. Further rain edging north in evening. Maximum temperature 15 C.
Saturday, November 8
Saturday morning will see patchy mist and fog and the odd spot of rain. Turning sunnier in the afternoon with sunny spells and the chance of the odd shower. Maximum temperature 13 C.
Sunday, November 9
Sunday will start cloudy with a band of rain moving in from the west. Sunny spells and showers will follow, but turning dry with clearing skies in the evening. Maximum temperature 14 C.
Monday, November 10 – Wednesday, November 19
The long range forecast for this period states: “The start of this period is likely to be largely unsettled and mostly mild, with bands or areas of rain moving across most parts of the UK, although tending to be focused more on western and possibly southern parts.
“Locally strong winds may also accompany some of the rain. Some drier spells are also likely, the best of these probably towards the east and possibly the north.
“Where skies are clear and winds light overnight, frost and fog are likely, the fog slow to clear. From around the middle of the month, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.”
