The fire service has reported a decrease in emergency callouts on Halloween night across Northern Ireland.
Figures from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service revealed that from 6pm on Friday, October 31 and 1am on Saturday, November 1, fire crews responded to 53 operational incidents. This is 10 fewer than the same period in 2024.
Several of these incidents were related to Halloween celebrations – including bonfires and fireworks.

In 2023, the NIFRS responded to 44 operational incidents in the same time period, with one of these incidents being a bonfire. These figures equated to a 2% increase for the same period in 2022.
Issuing a Halloween Operational Activity Update overnight, a Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesperson said:
“The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service has been responding to calls during the night of Halloween celebrations. From 6pm on 31 October 2025 – 1am on 1 November 2025 Fire Crews responded to 53 operational incidents. Several of the incidents were Halloween related, including bonfires and fireworks.”
