Line of Duty star Vicky McClure has teased a new project she would love to take on with her co-stars.
The latest series of the popular BBC show, set in Belfast, wrapped in 2021 with fans eagerly awaiting news of a seventh season, but so far there hasn’t been an official confirmation from the cast or creator, Jed Mercurio.
Vicky McClure, who played Kate Fleming in the show, has shared her thoughts on the future of Line of Duty, as well as teasing a potential reunion project she would love to take on with her co-stars, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston.

In a new ninterview with Radio Times magazine, McClure was asked about the future of Line of Duty, saying she didn’t “have any updates, I’m afraid.”
She added: “I don’t want to give anyone any false hope. We’ve all been very clear that we’d absolutely love to do another series.”
However, she teased a completely different kind of role she would love to take on with her Line of Duty co-stars. She added: “Adrian [Dunbar], Martin [Compston] and I have been talking about doing a travel show together, though.
“If any of us ever has any spare time, we’ll do it. Line of Duty gave us two brilliant things – our careers and our friendship.”
Adrian Dunbar recently said Line of Duty would be making its anticipated return, telling The Times that “Jed is writing.” He said: “We’re really excited about getting our hands on a Line of Duty script, to see what happens to us. Jed is writing. We’ve talked to the BBC.
“It is down to the BBC to make an announcement, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that next year we’ll be working on a new series. No doubt Jed will think of some interesting twists and turns.”
The season 6 finale of the BBC drama amassed a whopping total of 12 million viewers, with many tuning in to find out the identity of AC-12’s nemesis ‘H.’
