Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Robert Sugden isn’t Kev’s only connection to the Dales
Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced that the recently arrived ex-prisoner, Kev, has a hidden connection to one of the villagers.
Kev (played by Chris Coghill) relocated to the village on Monday (October 21) after serving a lengthy prison term for bank robbery. During his time behind bars, he wed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), and now that he’s free, he’s hoping they can enjoy marital bliss.
Currently, Kev is residing with Claudette (Flo Wilson) and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) as part of a prison outreach programme. However, Robert isn’t too thrilled about his husband’s arrival, as he has recently reconnected with his former partner, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Robert is keeping his marriage to Kev under wraps, but an observant Aaron is beginning to wonder who Kev really is after their paths cross in the village. Robert has deceived Aaron by claiming that Kev is merely a friend and former cellmate, reports the Daily Star.

In an attempt to keep Aaron and Kev separate, Robert has suggested to Kev that he feels uncomfortable around Aaron following an attempted murder by his half-brother, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). He also revealed that Aaron and John are married.
Robert breathed a sigh of relief when Kev expressed his desire to keep his sexuality private for now, ensuring their relationship remains hidden from the prying eyes of the villagers.
“I’m not quite ready to be out and proud”, Kev confided in Robert, insisting they keep their relationship on “the downlow”.
Nevertheless, Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Kev has another link to the Dales, believing he could be Dylan Penders’ (Fred Kettle) biological father.
Dylan made his debut earlier this year after encountering April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) on the streets, following her departure from home.
The storyline revealed that the youngster is estranged from his relatives before relocating to the village. He’s also peddling drugs for Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
Could Kev be the one to rescue young Dylan from Ray’s sinister grip?
Expressing their theories on X, previously Twitter, one fan proposed: “Is Dylan Kev’s son? They have very similar ears. #Emmerdale.”
Posting on Reddit, one Emmerdale enthusiast elaborated: “I saw a tweet suggesting Dylan could be Kev’s son (or relation of some sort) based on their similar ears. I just feel like it could actually make me care about Dylan (who I don’t care for currently) and give Kev something to stick around for after Aaron/Robert’s ‘affair’ comes out.”
Someone else contributed: “It could be interesting, but the word is that Chris has already finished filming for Kev.”
“I don’t see Kev sticking around for long I can’t remember how long he’s got left but can’t be long if they have let him out”, proposed another.
