The Tyrone man has been appointed joint manager of the Queen’s Sigerson Cup team alongside former Down defender Daniel McCartan
Former joint manager of Tyrone’s All-Ireland winning team Feargal Logan has returned to management with Queen’s Sigerson Cup team. He will share managerial duties with ex-Down defender Daniel McCartan. Both men have previously captained Sigerson Cup winning teams for the Belfast college.
Donal O’Hare, another former Down player known for his scoring prowess, will join the coaching team alongside Jack Dowling. Queen’s first match is set against the University of Ulster at the Dub on 15 October, reports the Irish Mirror.
Logan, along with Brian Dooher, led Tyrone to their fourth All-Ireland title in 2021 during their debut season in charge.
The pair also clinched the Ulster title in 2021 and served for four seasons before being succeeded by Malachy O’Rourke at the end of the last season.
Logan was forced to take a break from much of the 2025 campaign due to a stroke.
Daniel McCartan was the captain when Queen’s last won the Sigerson Cup in 2007, with his older brother James, a two-time All-Ireland winner with Down, serving as manager at the time.
