Storm Amy: Belfast City Airport flight cancellations as weather causes disruption across NI

Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight

A number of flights to and from Belfast City Airport have been cancelled on Friday amid Storm Amy.

Weather warnings issued by the Met Office are currently in place across Northern Ireland.

An amber wind warning covering the western half of the region, Co Antrim, Co Derry, Co Tyrone and Co Fermanagh, came into force at 3pm on October 3, and will remain in place until 8pm.

A yellow wind warning covering the whole of NI is also currently in place until 23.59pm on Saturday. An alert for rain is also in place until midday on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Belfast City Airport said: “Due to adverse weather conditions across the UK, there may be some disruption to flights due to arrive and depart from Belfast City Airport.

“Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight with their airline or visit belfastcityairport.com for the latest flight information.”
