Emmerdale’s Karen Blick, who portrays Lydia Dingle, was barely recognisable at the Inside Soap Awards 2025 on Monday night.
The event saw Emmerdale scoop up the best family award for the fifth time, a record in the history of the Inside Soap Awards, with the Dingle clan taking home the trophy.
Young actress Amelia Flanagan, known for her role as April Windsor, was crowned best young performer for the fourth time.
The ITV soap also bagged the best showstopper award, given to a standout stunt or episode.
This accolade was won for the limo crash disaster storyline, which saw three beloved characters perish as the vehicle plunged into an icy lake, reports the Daily Star.
Karen, 50, who plays Lydia, whose on-screen family clinched the best family award, looked stunning at the star-studded event, sporting a look vastly different from her character’s.
The actress donned a sleek black trouser suit paired with a smart white top and adorned with a selection of silver necklaces.
Her hair was styled in a chic swept-back do, complemented by glamorous makeup featuring smokey eyeshadow and nude lipstick.
She posed alongside her fellow Dingle co-stars, including Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, and Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, at the annual event.
Lydia’s return to the village over the summer after a three-month hiatus was met with joy from fans.
Lydia revealed to her fellow villagers that she had been looking after her mother, necessitating some time away.
In a conversation with her friend and boss Kim Tate, Lydia remarked: “Well, she’s back to bossing me about and giving me the running commentary on every last twinge.
“I’ll be to-ing and fro-ing a bit, but she’s definitely on the mend.”
Karen, who portrays Lydia, first joined the ITV soap in 2016. She has since become a mainstay of the show, even tying the knot with fan favourite Sam Dingle in 2020.
Emmerdale continues on weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV X with episodes also available to wach from 7am on ITV X.
