Primark’s bag looks similar to a luxury version – but there’s a huge price difference

Primark is stocking a new handbag that bears a remarkable likeness to a pricier version. The budget retailer, famous for its affordable fashion and homeware, appears to have another bestseller on its hands.

The Oversized Weave Shoulder Bag from Primark shows a striking similarity to a design by premium brand Dragon Diffusion, costing just a fraction of the original price. Customers can snap up the Primark edition for £14, while the luxury version commands £370 online.

Both handbags showcase identical woven patterns and structured silhouettes, reports the Daily Record. They both also come in a deep shade of black, with similar top handles.

Nevertheless, several distinctions exist between the pair. The high-end bag is crafted from genuine leather, whereas the affordable option is constructed entirely from PVC. The Primark version is also slightly smaller.

Primark describes the bag as an “oversized woven tote bag with top handles, wide base in faux leather.” It is available in two shades; black or sand.
