Seoirse Bulfin has agreed to come on board as team coach with Antrim hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald for next year.Bulfin, who hails from Bruff in Limerick, has managed at intercounty level in the past with Meath and, this year, with Westmeath. But he joined Fitzgerald again after the Clare man made huge changes to his backroom team with Neil McManus, Paudie Shivers and Pat Bennett not involved for 2026.Fitzgerald and Bulfin first linked up when the former was in charge of Waterford before they struck All-Ireland gold with the Banner in 2013.
Later, they worked together with Wexford and drove the Model County on to claim the Leinster crown six years ago. They also dovetailed at club level with Sixmilebridge and, after Fitzgerald took time out after last season to decide on his future, they are on a mission to get Antrim back into the Leinster Championship after their demotion to the Joe McDonagh Cup in Fitzgerald’s first year at the helm.
