Amazon shoppers race to buy Dyson V8 vacuum as price slashed by £140

Amazon has slashed the price of the Dyson V8 Advanced Cordless Vacuum Cleaner by £140 for Black Friday, reducing it to £189 and undercutting Shark’s rival deals

Amazon has outdone Dyson by cutting £140 off a cordless vacuum for Black Friday. The offer sees the Dyson V8 Advanced Cordless Vacuum Cleaner’s price drop from £329.99 to just £189.

This equates to a saving of £140.99 or 43%, making the vacuum cheaper than Dyson’s own discounted price of £229.99 (was £329.99). The deal was set to end on Monday, December 1, however, it appears to still be live, so now’s the time to add it to your basket before the deal expires.

Dyson promotes this specific vacuum as its ‘most powerful’ V8 model yet, boasting that it provides 10% more suction than previous models. It comes with a digital motor that spins up to 110,000rpm and two settings: Eco mode for lighter tasks and MAX mode for more challenging cleaning.

It competes with Shark’s renowned anti-hair wrap technology with a de-tangling feature to avoid tangles while removing both long hair and pet hair from various floor types. Thanks to its six-cell battery, the Dyson V8 Advanced can operate continuously for up to 40 minutes.

It’s also lightweight at 2.54kg, making it easier to handle and can be converted into a handheld vacuum to clean hard-to-reach areas around the house or in the car. Purchasers will also receive several accessories including a crevice tool for tight spaces and a combination tool for easy switching between vacuuming and dusting, reports the Express.

Meanwhile, Shark is slashing prices throughout its vacuum cleaner collection, with £200 knocked off the new limited edition PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner.

Down from £449.99 to £249.99, this particular model includes six attachments such as a car detailing kit, anti-allergen dusting brush and an additional filter valued at over £40.

However, boasting a 4.6-star rating, the Dyson V8 Advanced Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has proved popular amongst Amazon buyers, with one commenting: “My carpets now look like new again. I can’t believe how easy it is to use this amazing vacuum cleaner. So light and portable, easy to use and easy to empty. I couldn’t be more pleased.”

A second reviewer noted: “The perfect vacuum. I love looking at how much dust has been gathered after each use. Easy to empty and adequate battery life for my needs. Vacuuming now takes 10 mins each day and is ultra satisfying. A long way the best stick vacuum out there.”
