Loose Women star Linda Robson has opened up about her love for solo holidays and how they have transformed her life, following her split from husband Mark Dunford.

Throughout the years, Loose Women personality Linda Robson has candidly discussed her private life with ITV audiences, including her recent separation from husband Mark Dunford and her past struggles with addiction.

Now, the 67-year-old is voicing her opinion on an emerging trend – solo travel.

It appears the Loose Women favourite, from the show that recently witnessed one presenter take a cheeky swipe at their co-star, fully embraces this new phenomenon as she revealed how independent travel has revolutionised her existence.

In an exclusive chat with GB News, Linda revealed: “I’m a big fan of solo holidays. They can open new doors, new places, new people and new perspectives.”

Though the ITV personality admitted she initially felt apprehensive about embarking on solo adventures, reports the Express.

She continued: “It was scary at first, but then I relaxed and had an amazing time.”

Recognising that independent travel can occasionally feel isolating, she went on: “Sometimes if you’re in a café by yourself, you do feel a bit lonely, but I just read my book and that gets me through it.”

Linda highlighted that solo journeys can provide individuals with confidence and independence, as she noted that every choice made is purely personal.

Security concerns are seldom an issue either. as she added: “We’ve got phones now; if I have an accident, I just get in touch with my kids. The best thing about it is every decision you make is yours. You eat where you want, stay where you want, and just enjoy the moment.”

This year, the 67-year-old went on a hectic family holiday to Cyprus, though upon her return, Linda required some solo time to recuperate.

She explained: “It was hectic! So when I came back, I went away for a week on my own to relax.”

Despite taking time off, it appears Linda remains as occupied as ever with fresh collaborations on the horizon, including a forthcoming venture with fellow Loose Women panellist Lesley Joseph, which she described as something she was “really looking forward to”.

This year, Loose Women, which Linda has been involved with since 2012, received a National Television Award nomination in the Daytime category.

Linda revealed: “We didn’t win, but being nominated was lovely, and we had a really nice night.”

Rather than Loose Women claiming the prize, the accolade went to This Morning, with presenters Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Ben Shephard, Cat Deeley and Josie Gibson accepting the honour on stage.

Discussing the victory, Alison quipped: “Oh my goodness, natural order has been restored! Can we just say a massive thank you to each and every person who voted for This Morning, we are so overwhelmed.

“We don’t take it lightly that we’ve won this award. We’re so, so grateful.”

Loose Women can be viewed on ITVX. Breakfast with Stephen and Ellie is available on GB News.
