In a huge shake-up, Loose Women has been taken off-air with an announcement being made at the end of Wednesday’s episode
The ITV schedule has been dramatically overhauled, with Loose Women being axed from screens for the rest of the week.
The popular daytime programme broadcast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in its regular 12.30pm time slot, but won’t be making a return to television on Thursday (11 September) and Friday (12 September), with both instalments having been scrapped by the network.
At the conclusion of Wednesday’s (10 September) instalment of Loose Women, presenter Christine Lampard alongside her fellow panellists, Coleen Nolan, Myleene Klass and Jane Moore said their goodbyes to viewers.
Christine disclosed the episode represented the last broadcast of Loose Women for the week, informing the studio audience and those watching from home: “Thank you very much for your company in the studio here and thank you for watching. That is it for the week, we are off air for the horse racing. But, we’re back next week!
“Back with Davina McCall, Stefan Dennis, Russell Watson, Corrie’s Carl and Stormy Daniels joining us! Enjoy your week!”

Loose Women usually broadcasts for one hour on weekdays with the discussion programme concluding ITV’s daytime lineup, which also includes Good Morning Britain, This Morning and Lorraine, reports the Express.
Nevertheless, on Thursday the show will be substituted by ITV1’s broadcast of the opening day of the St Leger Festival, transmitted live from Doncaster.
The broadcast will be fronted by Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani, with expert insight delivered by Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan alongside reports from Matt Chapman and commentary by Richard Hoiles.
ITV1’s schedule will be dominated by racing from 1pm to 4pm, resulting in Loose Women’s regular slot being occupied.
The second day of the festival will broadcast on Friday at the same time, leading to another cancellation of the chat show.
Loose Women is set to return to our screens on Monday, 15 September at 12.30pm.
On Wednesday’s Loose Women, the panel delved into a range of subjects, including menopause, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s latest reality show, Prince Harry’s recent UK visit, and the use of AI by school students.
The episode also included a chat with Downton Abbey’s Phyllis Logan, ahead of the franchise’s final film release. Coleen had a sit-down with Phyllis to discuss her character and the end of the show.
Loose Women typically broadcasts on weekdays on ITV1 from 12.30pm.
