A number of road closures will be in place on Thursday and Friday for Belfast Vital.
The two-day music festival returns to Boucher Road Playing Fields on August 28 for Sam Fender and August 29 for Fontaines D.C.
To accommodate the large number of concert-goers flocking to South Belfast for both of the gigs, the PSNI has issued timings and advice for road users.

Here are the road closure timings in place for Belfast Vital 2025:
3pm to 9pm
- City-bound lane one of Boucher Road, between its junction with Shane Retail Park and Balmoral Road, will be closed between
9pm to midnight
- Boucher Road will be closed between its junctions with Tates Avenue and Stockman’s Lane.
- Stockman’s Lane will be closed between its junction with Kennedy Way roundabout and Lisburn Road
- The M1 off-slips – northbound at Kennedy Way and southbound at Stockmans Lane
A PSNI spokesperson said on Thursday: “Motorists should be aware that traffic will be disrupted in south Belfast this evening, Thursday 28th August, due to a number of planned events.
“Please seek an alternative route at these times. “Officers would also like to remind those attending the festival that it is illegal to stop, park or walk on the hard shoulder of motorways. “The hard shoulder is for emergency use only. “Last year, officers issued a number of penalty tickets to motorists after attendees at similar events were dropped off from vehicles queuing on the motorway, and making their way to the event by walking down the hard shoulder. “Please be aware that fixed penalty tickets can also be issued to pedestrians.”
