Sabrina Carpenter has a talent for making everything she touches feel fun, from her cheeky lyrics to her onstage outfits. So, it only makes sense that her latest manicure would follow suit. The singer just put her own spin on the classic French manicure, debuting a look she and her celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt — who also works with the Jenners and Hailey Bieber — have dubbed the “drunk French.”

Ganzorigt shared the manicure on Instagram on Aug. 19, posting a mirror selfie of the “Manchild” singer — who’s gearing up to release her new album “Man’s Best Friend” on Aug. 29 — in a white crochet minidress. At first glance, the nails look like a classic French, a nude-pink base and creamy white tips. But unlike the sharp, defined lines of the traditional style, the tips here are softened. The result is a more relaxed version of the French: less polished, a little undone, and intentionally imperfect. It’s almost like the “drunk French” captures the hazy blur of a night out… but in manicure form.

Carpenter’s look is the latest addition to a full-blown French manicure renaissance, with new variations popping up on social media almost weekly. Kylie Jenner recently coined her own “twisted French,” a double-stripe take on the classic. Dua Lipa leaned into playful polka-dot tips earlier this summer, while Khloé Kardashian revived the thick, white arcs of the ’90s “deep French.”

The best part? It’s one of the easiest trends to try at home. To get the look, start with a sheer pink base like OPI’s Bubble Bath ($15), then paint a soft ivory tip instead of a stark white one. Blend the edges slightly so the line looks blurred, and top it off with a glossy coat. Or, if you want an even simpler solution, you can pick up OPI’m Dreaming xPress/ON Collection ($14) in the colors Dream Come Home or French Press.

With the French manicure getting a makeover every week, consider Carpenter’s “drunk French” the latest one to add to your mood board. As you plan out your fall nail appointments, this twist deserves a spot on the list.
