The Police Ombudsman has launched an investigation following an incident involving the police and a young man in a Portadown alleyway.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in an alleyway connected to West Street in the Co Armagh town on June 13, at around 10.44pm.
The Police Ombudsman is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have mobile phone footage of it to contact their investigators.

It has also said it is keen to speak to two men who were in the alleyway just before the incident took place.
A PONI spokesperson said: “The Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland is investigating an incident involving police and a young man in Portadown on June 13, 2025.
“The incident is believed to have taken place in an alleyway connected to West Street in Portadown around 10.44pm. Ombudsman investigators would like to speak to anyone with mobile phone footage or anyone who may have witnessed what occurred. They are also keen to speak to two men who were in the alleyway immediately before the incident took place. If you have any information, please call 0800 032 7880.”
