EastEnders fans have demanded one key character is given a ‘big story’ soon, after being absent from TV screens for a while
EastEnders has been experiencing a flurry of activity lately, with BBC soap chiefs announcing character comebacks and departures at breakneck speed.
Whilst viewers have been eagerly anticipating fresh plot developments, many have been questioning the whereabouts of one pivotal character who has been noticeably absent from screens recently.
Chelsea Fox, portrayed by Zaraah Abrahams, has been missing from television screens for some time, despite her family becoming embroiled in considerable turmoil following Patrick Trueman’s (Rudolph Walker) assault at his residence.
EastEnders enthusiasts have flocked to social media platforms, calling for Chelsea to be handed a compelling storyline without delay, given that the character has remained largely sidelined for numerous months.

“Why is Chelsea just not included in any of the Fox/Trueman scenes surrounding Patrick’s attack? It’s nothing new sadly but I wish they’d give Chelsea more to do,” one viewer voiced their frustration on X, reports Plymouth Live.
Another supporter commented: “I want Chelsea to have at least a new relationship or have her connect with her past, they could even recast Libby and have her help her sister out.”
A third fan concurred, stating: “Chelsea’s nonuse remains weird AF. She can carry big stories. We’ve seen it before.”
Chelsea made her return to Walford in 2020 and quickly became embroiled in significant drama, starting with her fraudulent reconciliation with father Lucas (Don Gilet), followed by her union with abusive Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith), with whom she had son Jordan.
Chelsea’s love affair with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) certainly ruffled feathers, especially when she discovered his secret liaison with her mother, Denise (Diane Parish).
More recently, Chelsea found herself at odds with Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine), after Penny nabbed her job as bar manager at the establishment formerly known as Peggy’s, now rebranded as Harry’s Bar.
In a vengeful move against Penny, Chelsea oversold tickets for a bar event, leading to a disastrous crowd collapse and crush. This incident left Walford locals like Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) severely injured.
Given her tumultuous past in Walford and her family’s knack for landing in hot water, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chelsea gracing our television screens again in the not-too-distant future.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
