Festival season may be coming to an end but do not fear, CHSq is ready to keep the good times going this August.
The iconic Belfast City Centre music festival is once again taking place at Custom House Square and the line-up of acts has something to suit all musical tastes.
From The Darkness, to Kingfishr to Billy Gillies, CHSq 2025 is back and bigger than ever and we cannot wait.

To ensure you make the most of the festival this year, we’ve put together this handy guide rounding up everything you might need to know ahead of attending any of the gigs.
So if you’re wondering how to get there, what time the gates open, where to grab a pint after and much more, you are in the right place.
When is CHSq 2025?
The festival kicks off at Custom House Square with Irish band Kingfishr on August 7 and finishes with Chase & Status on September 6.

What are the age restrictions CHsq?
A number of different age restrictions apply for this year’s set of gigs so be sure to check carefully before attending.
Kingfishr – Thur 7th August 2025
General Admission tickets: Under 16s can attend provided they present at the entrance gate accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also a ticket holder. They will be issued a wristband containing the parent or guardians contact details. A parent or guardian can only sign in a MAX of 2 under 16’s (minimum age limit of 5 years of age and must have show ticket). Parents and guardians must accompany Under 16s at all times. Guardians must be over the age of 25 to accompany an Under 16.

General Admission tickets: Strictly over 16’s. VALID I.D. REQUIRED
The Darkness – Sat 9th August 2025

What time do gates open at CHSq?
Gates open at 6pm so please do not arrive on site until close to that time.
Custom House Square curfew is usually between 10.30pm – 11pm but times will be posted on social media the day of the event.
Last entry at 9.45pm sharp.
How do I get to Custom House Square?
Organisers are advising that concert-goers use public transport when possible.
Custom House Square is in the heart of Belfast city centre and within walking distance from the main transport hubs.
Public transport could be the easiest way to get there, by bus or by train. Translink has a range of bus and train options to get you to Custom House Square this summer.
There is no designated parking on-site at CHSq and organisers advise that concert-goers avail of public transport where possible.
Will there be security checks?
If you are attending CHSq please be advised of additional security measures for all events. The safety of guests is of paramount importance and an increased search regime will be in place.
Organisers would like to advise all guests to arrive at the venue in good time, as there will be enhanced personal searches on entry.
In order to allow easy access, and cause minimal delays, they would like to discourage all guests from bringing bags to the event, and no luggage or large electronic devices (for example laptop computers) will be permitted.
Small personal cameras will be permitted, though guests will not be able to bring professional photography equipment into the venue. Please note that you may also be asked to remove coats or jackets in the search queue.
Some DO NOT points:
- We do not permit football tops of any kind into CHSq
- Umbrellas, parasols and the like are not permitted at concert events for safety reasons.
- Chairs, seats and tables are not permitted at events for safety reasons
- There are no cloakroom facilities on site. No bags bigger than A4 size are permitted.
- Please note that catering and bar facilities will be available in the concert site. Please contact the Promoter directly should you require to bring food for medical reasons at info@customhousesquare.com
- We would like to discourage all guests from bringing bags to the event, and no luggage or large electronic devices (for example laptop computers) will be permitted.
- Small personal cameras will be permitted, though guests will not be able to bring professional photography equipment into the venue.
- No flags / emblems and flares / pyrotechnics of any kind permitted – those found to have brought inside face ejection without refund.
- Anyone considered to be engaging in disruptive behaviour may be ejected with no refund offered.
