It’s not been around long but it’s already making a name for itself

A new Belfast restaurant has been added to the Michelin Guide for November 2025.

Beau has not long been on the scene in Belfast but it has picked up the much sought after accolade 6 months after it opened. Headed by Great British Menu contestant Lottie Noren it opened its doors in May of this year.

The Inspectors’ Favourite Restaurants list recognises the best up-and-coming spots that boast great variety and come in all different styles but are all united by one thing – great cooking.

Beau is a sister restaurant to popular City Centre tapas spot EDO, which also features on the Michelin Guide, it is Chef Lottie Noren’s first solo venture in Northern Ireland.

When they opened in the spring they said “located in the Cathedral Quarter (2 Warehouse Lane), Beau is all about bold flavours, honest cooking, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Think seasonal menus, thoughtful details, and food that feels special but never fussy.”

The Michelin Guide praised the restaurant saying “they craft a concise menu of produce-led dishes designed for sharing, such as a tempura-like langoustine scampi with their take on a sauce gribiche. While pared-back in style, the cooking never lacks in flavour and there’s a welcome generosity to the portions and pricing too.”

They also had great things to say about the service they received on their visit stating that “super-friendly service only adds to an already delightful all-round experience.”
