Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt shared his concerns for Lisa Riley on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women
I’m A Celebrity star Lisa Riley has sparked concern as her Emmerdale co-star shared their fears.
The 49-year-old star, renowned for portraying Mandy Dingle in the popular ITV drama, is currently confronting her phobias in the Australian wilderness.
Throughout her jungle stint, Lisa has endured having her head placed in a container filled with snakes, secured immunity after defeating Martin Kemp in the live trial, and won eight stars after facing rats and spiders in the Mine of Misery.
The actress has been adapting to camp life well and has swiftly emerged as one of the most cherished participants. Lisa has developed especially strong bonds with her fellow campmates Ruby Wax, Jack Osbourne, Aitch, and Angry Ginge.
Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt, who portrays Lisa’s on-screen husband Paddy Dingle, made an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women on Tuesday (December 2), where he discussed Lisa’s jungle adventure with presenters Christine Lampard, Myleene Klass, Nadia Sawalha and Brenda Edwards, reports the Daily Star.

“Dominic, what are you making of how she’s getting on in there? We obviously know Lisa and love Lisa; you really know Lisa after nearly 30 years of friendship,” Christine began.
“She’s just being her beautiful self in there, she’s just so kind and has become the mother of the group in many ways.”
Reflecting on his initial worries for his friend, Dominic responded, “Yeah, it was strangely tense watching it. In the first week, you saw people coming in and they were dancing at everything, and they were saying, ‘God, we’re like a big family,’ and you think, ‘This is four days’.
“I thought she was really quiet, and it’s not the Lisa we know. I think she’s comfortable with people that she knows, so it was good watching her after four, five, six, seven days, just coming out of her shell.
“And then you could relax a little bit, because [we] were watching, thinking, ‘Come on Lisa!’ But it’s great, she’s making us all very proud. It’s such fun watching her.”
Earlier in the series, Lisa notably questioned her fellow campmate Jack about his father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away earlier this year. Both became tearful as they discussed the Black Sabbath icon, with Lisa revealing that her mother had also died.
Lisa’s mum, Cath, lost her battle with breast cancer that had metastasised to her pelvis, ovaries and pancreas in 2012. She was just 57 years old.
Discussing Lisa’s grief, Dominic revealed: “I know that she struggled when her mum passed away, Cath. It affected her, and it’ll always affect her. She’ll miss her mum for the rest of her life.
“She struggled for about six years after that. She grieved very heavily, so it’s nice that she brought her up and could see a kindred spirit between her and Jack. It was nice to hear that.”
When asked if he’d follow in Lisa’s footsteps and venture into the jungle in the future, Dominic candidly stated: “No, I would never go in the jungle. I’m too quiet. I think I’d be voted out in the first week.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX, while Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
