One officer was stabbed in the leg during the incident
A man is due to appear in court charged with attempted murder after four police officers were assaulted in Derry.
Police attended a property in the Collon Lane area on Thursday, November 27, while conducting enquiries in relation to a wanted person, during the incident two men are alleged to have assaulted a number of officers in attendance, with one being stabbed in the leg.
One of the men arrested during the incident, 20-year-old Connlan Boyle, appeared in court on Friday, November 28 in connection with the incident and was remanded in police custody.

Now, the other man, a 21-year-old, has been charged with a number of offences which included attempted murder, assault on police and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, November 29.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Detectives in Derry/Londonderry, investigating assaults on four police officers and a custody detention officer on Thursday morning, 27th November, in the Collon Lane area, have charged a man to court.
“The 21-year-old has been charged with a total of 10 offences which include attempted murder, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, assault on police and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
“He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 29th November.
“As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
