One star of the current ITV series made an emotional admission in the camp
One of the celebrities participating in this year’s I’m A Celebrity has confessed to feeling overwhelmed, as they were seen shedding tears on camera.
During Wednesday’s episode (November 26), one campmate admitted to being ‘a wreck’.
Despite being a late addition to the series, Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson is clearly finding the experience challenging.
He’s not alone, as viewers have already witnessed emotional moments, including Jack Osbourne discussing his late father Ozzy.
Recently, YouTuber Angry Ginge was also caught having a quiet moment away from the group, shedding tears due to missing his family, reports the Express.
Now, Tom has shared his struggles. However, this time it was surprisingly due to recent changes within the camp.
Each contestant was paired with a rival for the latest trial. The winner of each task would return to the main camp, which had been transformed into ‘Win City’.
The changes included a purple makeover – with a purple telephone box and purple beds, plus new purple bedding, camp clothes, towels and comfy log seating.
This resulted in the camp being divided into two separate groups for the first time this series. Trial winners Lisa, Vogue, Jack, Ruby and Ginge all returned to settle into their new surroundings.
A delighted Lisa gushed: “Our purple palace is absolutely delightful!” Meanwhile, Ruby shared: “Purple is my favourite colour so my heart exploded with joy!”.
The losing team had to make their way to a separate camp dubbed Doomsville, where they would only be fed rice and beans for dinner.
Martin, Kelly, Eddie, Tom, Shona and Aitch were also met with a dismal sight of one rock hard bunk bed, with the remaining beds being groundsheets on the floor, all in a dreary grey colour scheme.
Kelly exclaimed: “This is bleak!” Martin said of Doomsville: “We are essentially doing time.”
Much to Aitch’s disappointment, the grey telephone box didn’t make any sound so he couldn’t create any more jungle beats.
It all became too much for Tom, as he grew emotional. He said: “I’m a wreck, sorry… I’m just a wreck today, I can’t stop. I think I’ve opened the floodgates a bit.”
As he confessed to missing home, his fellow Doomsville celebrities were quick to comfort him, offering support to help him feel better.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
