Angry Ginge’s friend has opened up on the I’m A Celebrity star’s relationship with Aitch

I’m A Celebrity star Angry Ginge may have strategised with fellow contestant Aitch to reach the final, given their pre-existing friendship and mutual support. Ginge, 24, and Aitch, 25, are currently joint favourites with bookmakers to be crowned king of the jungle.

Freddy Doneorrell, a friend of Ginge’s and a social media executive, has shed light on the pair’s relationship. He suggests they might have had a discussion prior to entering the jungle, noting that it’s unusual to see two close friends participate together.

Freddy stated: “I don’t actually know anything on that side, but they definitely would have spoken. They’ll naturally lift each other up in there.

“When you’ve got two real mates with that kind of chemistry and mutual respect, it just gives them both a boost all the way through, so I think that’ll massively help.”

He further told The Sun: “You don’t really see two very good friends go in. If anything was discussed beforehand, it would’ve been about looking out for each other and keeping spirits high.

“That’s just who they are. I think they both want the best for each other and 100 per cent they will want to help each other through to the final.”

Angry Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, has made a significant impact on the I’m A Celebrity jungle, impressing viewers nationwide with his unique sense of humour, reports the Mirror.

The social media star, from Salford, rose to prominence streaming games on Twitch and producing content on YouTube, mainly aimed at Gen-Z viewers. However, since appearing on the ITV programme, he’s been winning over a broader audience as well.

Ginge’s growing appeal has been demonstrated through his team telling The Mirror they have been “inundated” with lucrative offers since his jungle debut – including a book deal, television opportunities and advertising campaigns.

A source close to Angry Ginge said: “Since the moment Ginge stepped foot in the jungle, the commercial interest has gone through the roof.

“He’s been absolutely inundated with offers, far more than anyone predicted. Brands have very quickly clocked that he’s not just a viral creator; he’s genuinely relatable, he speaks the language of real people, and he connects with an audience that many big companies have struggled to reach.”

They are especially drawn to his “authenticity”, having been raised in a council flat with his mum and sister. The source added: “It’s why he’s already being approached for several major long-term global ambassadorships with household-name retailers who want him fronting their campaigns the second he’s out.

“They see him as someone who can shift perception, shift product, and bring in audiences that traditional advertising doesn’t touch.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs daily at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
