Police seize large quantity of drugs during targeted house search

The operation seized tens of thousands of pounds worth of controlled substances

A large quantity of drugs was seized by police during a targeted house search.

Police seized £29,000 worth of Class A, B and C controlled drugs in a targeted house search conducted on Thursday, November 20. The operation in the Lurgan area also saw drug paraphernalia and approximately £7,000 in cash seized by police.

Three individuals were arrested for alleged drug supply offences and possession of criminal property.

In a post shared on social media, a spokesperson outlined the impact drugs have on wider society.

The post read: “Drugs don’t just harm the individuals who use them — they tear at the fabric of our community. They fuel addiction, increase vulnerability, drive antisocial behaviour, and bring fear and exploitation to our streets.
