A firm favourite on Loose Women has confirmed she has been in a relationship with a mystery man for a year – and her co-stars are thrilled for her
A beloved Loose Women panellist has gone public with her romance after marking their first anniversary together.
Brenda Edwards, the singer who became a regular on the ITV programme in 2019, is mum to daughter Tanisha and late son Jamal, who died aged 31 in 2022.
Whilst Brenda typically keeps her personal life private, the X Factor alumnus has now revealed she’s in a relationship – much to the delight of her Loose Women colleagues.
Posting to Instagram on Wednesday (November 19), Brenda uploaded an intimate photograph showing her clasping hands with her new partner. She captioned it: “A year ago, you walked into my life with laughter in your beautiful eyes and so much unconditional love in your heart and every day since has been that much brighter.
“Your humor makes the ordinary magical, your love makes the difficult easy, and your steady spirit makes me feel safe enough to dream bigger than I already do, even silence feels like music, and every moment feels like we have known each other for years! You just get it! X.”, reports the Mirror.
The heartfelt message concluded: “So here’s to us, one year of laughter, love, and balance, and a lifetime still waiting to be written. I can’t wait to keep turning pages with you, hand in hand, side by side, back to back,heart to heart. Love you Boy.”
Brenda’s supporters and celebrity friends flooded the comments to share their congratulations. Ruth Langsford wrote: “Happy anniversary,” whilst Denise Welch added: “SOFT LAUNCH!”.
One admirer commented: “Isn’t love beautiful keep dreaming big Brenda.” Another declared: “How lovely and really happy for you Brenda.”
Earlier this year, Brenda hinted at a new romance during a Loose Women appearance. She revealed: “I did have a holiday recently, with somebody…” prompting excited reactions from the studio audience.
She teased: “That’s all you’re getting!” Brenda went on: “Apart from, I will say you know I think that it is quite nice. Opposites do attract. I do believe that.”
When questioned about establishing boundaries early on, Brenda responded: “Not rules as such, but we do have common interests and I think that’s important because then you don’t mind if they want to go and do something.
“It’s all about communication with it, and I think that’s key, and I’m enjoying having that sort of communication.” Kelly then remarked about it being a “new relationship” as Jane noted: “It’s early days, it’s early days! The honeymoon period”. Brenda then replied: “Slow and steady wins the race, young lady.”
