Jack Osbourne breaks down over Ozzy’s death: ‘We didn’t know it would be that quick’

I’m A Celebrity viewers saw Jack Osbourne open up about the death of his dad during Monday’s show.

During the most recent episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, campmate Jack Osbourne got emotional when discussing the death of his dad, Ozzy Osbourne.

Over the weekend, the popular ITV show kicked off as a fresh batch of stars entered the Australian jungle, with one already rustling a few feathers.

While Jack got close with Aitch, Angry Ginge and Eddie Kadi after they won their challenges during the first episode, he opened up to Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley on Monday night.

Sitting around the campfire, he explained to the ITV star how quickly it all happened.

Jack commented: “It was definitely a shock, I mean, we knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock, I mean, we didn’t know it would be that quick.

“It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, alright, I’m done.”

As he started to get overcome with emotion, Lisa was quick to comfort him while Jack confessed his dad would be ‘so supportive’ of him appearing on I’m A Celeb.

Later on in the Bush Telegraph, he shared: “I’m still navigating it all, it’s been three, nearly four months, and so it’s still pretty fresh.”

In July this year, it was announced that Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne had died at the age of 76.

Over the years, Ozzy suffered from a series of health conditions and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 2019.

According to The Mirror, his death certificate states that Ozzy died following an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes).

A statement from his family at the time said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

Speaking about his family ahead of entering the jungle, Jack said: “It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind. I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad’s passing. It is going to be difficult, that is for sure.

“It’s not the longest amount of time I’ve been away from them. I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home.

“It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud.”
