Glam-rock trio Tony & The Kiki share ‘get OUT or get ON’, is a fiery, glitter-drenched new single that demands clarity, passion, and a little bit of chaos.
Equal parts seductive and defiant, ‘get OUT or get ON’ serves as both a rallying cry and a midnight confession. With its psychedelic surf guitar lines, driving 80s-inspired synths, and sultry vocals, the song delivers a potent cocktail of angst and allure as comparable to Depeche Mode as it is to Brian Ferry.
“The verse is all the hoops we jump through and games we play when hooking up or courting someone,” vocalist Tony explains. “Patience is something that’s hard for me… this song speaks to that, hahaha. Either we’re doing this or we’re not—and I need to know now.”
Keyboardist Rodney describes the track as a celebration of duality — a headbanging rebellion with a sensual twist. “When that half-time surf-vibe kicks in, I want to scream and thrash in the best way, but it also makes me want to be sexy. Especially live. You decide ;)”
The release marks another major step in the band’s post-pandemic resurgence. After a three-year hiatus, Tony & The Kiki have returned with blazing intensity, captivating both grassroots fans and industry heavyweights. Their electrifying presence has been felt across the country’s biggest LGBTQ+ festivals, including World Pride DC, Pittsburgh Pride, Brooklyn Pride, and NYC Pride.
With nods of approval from music royalty including Cyndi Lauper, Foreigner, Celine Dion, and Lady Gaga herself, Tony & The Kiki have already showcased their worth, the new single further showcases their potential.
