The parade is set to travel through the city centre
Public transport diversions are in place in Belfast this weekend due to a pro-Palestine parade.
The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) is holding a march on Saturday, October 25, starting at Writer’s Square on Donegall Street, before making its way across the city centre to BBC Blackstaff House.
Due to expected road closures in place throughout the parade, which begins at 12.15pm, Translink has advised service users of diversions to Metro and Glider services travelling throughout Belfast city centre.

The parade will travel across Royal Avenue, Castle Place, High Street, Victoria Street, Chichester Street, Wellington Place, Fisherwick Place, Howard Street, Bedford Street before finishing on Ormeau Avenue at 2.30pm.
The following public transport services will be subject to diversions:
- G1 West to East: In as normal to Divis Street then via Millfield, Carrick Hill, Frederick Street, Dunbar Link, Oxford Street then as normal. (Passengers are advised to board at Oxford Street – Waterfront Hall)
- G1 East to West: In to Albertbridge then Short Strand, Bridge End, Dalton Street, Middlepath Street, M3, Westlink, Divis Street, King Street, Francis Street, Millfield to Divis Street for outward journey. Out from Divis Street (Millfield Glider Stop)
- G2: In as normal to Oxford Street. Wait at Waterfront Hall then Out from Waterfront Hall (Oxford Street) via Albertbridge, Short Strand, Bridge End and Queens Quay East Belfast (3/4/5/6) services will operate In as normal to May Street then Out from May Street Via Adelaide Street, Ormeau Avenue, Cromac Street, East Bridge Street with 3a/f via Short Strand Short Strand, Bridge End and Middlepath Street.
- Antrim Road (1) services to operate In via Clifton Street, Westlink to Divis Street. Out from Divis Street via Millfield, Carrick Hill then as normal.
- Shore Road (2) / City Express (13/14) services In as normal to York Street then Frederick Street, Clifton Street, Westlink to Divis Street. Out from Divis Street via Millfield Carrick Hill, Frederick Street and York Street.
- Shankill Services (11) In to Peters Hill then Carrick Hill, Donegal Street, Royal Avenue and North Street for outward journey. Out from North Street.
- Carrs Glen/ Ligoniel (11e/12) In to Clifton Street then Carrick Hill, North Street to Central Library for outward journey. Out from Central library.
- 7/8/9 In to Bruce Street to wait for outward departure time. Out from Bruce Street.
- Falls Rd (10) services In via Grosvenor Road to College Square East for outward departure. Out from College Square East with 10k/m then out via College Square North.
- Belfast City Airport 600 services Out from Grand Central via Divis Street, Westlink and M3 648 into Royal Avenue, then out via North Street, Carrickhill, Donegal Street, and York Street.
- 649 in to Oxford Street then out from Waterfront Hall, Albertbridge, Short Strand, Bridge End and Middlepath Street.
The Parade’s Commission is expecting around 1,000 people to attend Saturday’s parade organised by The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign. The IPSC exists to mobilise people in Ireland to support the political, civil and human rights of all Palestinians, and to work for their national and democratic rights.
The IPSC was set up in 2001 by Irish human rights and community activists, academics, trade unionists, journalists, and Palestinians living in Ireland.
