Emmerdale star Laura Norton, who has played Kerry Wyatt in the ITV soap since 2012, has marked a relationship milestone with her former co-star

Emmerdale actress Laura Norton has posted a heartfelt message to her soap star fiancé as they mark a decade together.

Laura, 42, became part of the ITV drama in 2012 when she landed the part of Kerry Wyatt, Amy Wyatt’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) estranged mum.

Her character departed the Dales in 2022 to take up employment on a cruise liner following her struggle to come to terms with losing her partner Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). In reality, Laura used the 16-month break for maternity leave.

Meanwhile, Laura’s partner Mark Jordon, 60, made his debut in the Dales during 2014 playing Daz Spencer, reports the Daily Star.

The pair began their romance in 2015 after first encountering each other on the ITV soap’s set.

Mark departed the programme in 2019, though he made a short return in December 2024. Laura and Mark are parents to two youngsters: their son, Jesse, and daughter, Ronnie.

Mark is also father to Poppy and Joseph from his previous marriage to Siobhan Finneran.

Using Instagram, Laura has shared a touching message to Mark as they commemorate their 10th anniversary.

Posting a collection of photographs together, the soap actress captioned: “20 pictures for 10 ridiculously glorious years.

“Wouldn’t change a thing. What a wild ride @markjordondad.”

Fellow Emmerdale cast members offered their congratulations in the comments, with Ruby Miligan actress Beth Cordingly posting: “You’re so beautiful. What fabulous pictures. Happy anniversary. Here’s to ten fabulous more X.”

Andy Sugden star Kelvin Fletcher responded with a series of love hearts. Laura and Mark have previously revealed their wedding plans, but these have yet to come to fruition, according to Digital Spy in 2024.

Laura said: “Something just kept happening. Mark got a job away, then coronavirus happened, then I got a dog. I got pregnant. Then I got pregnant again. My stepdaughter said it’s the longest engagement in history!

“Time has made us go: ‘We don’t have to do anything lavish.’ We don’t have plans yet, but I think we will soon – we just want to be chilled now, because of the chaos of life, maybe keep the wedding small.”

Beyond their acting careers, Laura and Mark are devoted parents to their two young children, both of whom have been diagnosed with Usher syndrome, a condition that affects hearing and vision.

The pair have been candid about their experiences and the difficulties of bringing up children with the condition in order to boost awareness and help find a cure.
